Martina Dawn. A name you’re gonna remember for years to come. With her firecracker personality and energetic stage presence, this rising country star is building her career one song at a time. Starting in the industry at the age of 12, and singing before she could even talk, Martina always had a passion for music. With her mom also being a country artist ,and owning a music school for over 10 years, Martina had a great role model to follow and naturally started performing for audiences at 5 years old. She gradually grew her craft and is now proud to have played at major live music venues such as Country Thunder Calgary, Big Valley Jamboree, Cook County Saloon, and The Country Music Alberta Award Show to name a few. She also has had multiple opportunities of opening for Major acts like Tebey, George Canyon, and Doc Walker. Martina Recorded her first two singles “Hate it” and “Game Over” at 16 years old, and had some of the best in the Canadian Country Music industry working on the tracks. Both being produced by CCMA Hall of Honour Inductee Travis Switzer and mixed by CCMA and Juno Award winning Bart McKay, with various other award winning musicians playing on the songs, they were bound to end up fantastic. Not to mention the major songwriters such as Meghan Patrick, Blake Bollinger, Thomas Archer, Jason Massey, and Hannah Ellis who used their skills to create such catchy, loveable songs. After releasing her first songs to the world, Martina was Blessed to have won the 2021 Country Music Alberta Horizon Youth Award. The award was a major accomplishment for her, and she is incredibly gracious to have such major support from industry representatives. In July of 2022 Martina released her third single “Gettin’ There” which has surpassed 20k streams on Spotify and is still growing. Produced By Travis Switzer once again, the team keeps progressing her career one great song at a time. Speaking of great songs from the team, Martina just released her newest single “Pretending” to all digital platforms. The song was written by major songwriters Emma-Lee and Alana Springsteen, and follows a reminiscent story of a short lived summer love, where the couple knows that it is bound to end but they were pretending like it wasn’t. Powerful and relatable, this song is sure to be the next one that you turn up loud while driving. Martina is so excited about releasing this song, and is so grateful for the large amount of support she has already been shown with it. With a great group of people around her and a fire burning inside to work hard and achieve all of her accomplishments, Martina is incredibly optimistic for what is to come, and she can’t wait to bring you along with her.
